The KegMaster KM15CT1 is an impressive commercial grade kegerator. It offers superior capacity and a durable finish at an affordable price. In terms of capacity this kegerator can hold 3 corny kegs or 3 sixth barrel kegs. It can also fit any full sized kegs, including over-sized kegs from Miller, Coors, and Yuengling. While the KM15CT1 is a single tap unit, you can buy a dual tap version. The single tap version can be purchased for about $1300 shipped. The dual tap version is about $50 more. Given the large capacity of this unit, you might want to consider this affordable upgrade.
Appearance
The KM15CT1 is made with high quality components. We are especially fond of the stainless steel top with built in drip tray. Cheaper kegerators often have a single thin sheet of stainless steel at the top. The stainless handle on the door is a unique feature. The guard rail is solid enough it could keep a beer from falling. As is common with many commercial units, a key lock is included. The reversible door is perfect for the 1 in 9 of us blessed with the fortune of being left-handed. It’s also self-closing, which is perfect for the 99%+ of us who are prone to clumsiness. In addition to the stainless steel top, the interior is also stainless. I wish they would have given this treatment to the entire unit. I am not personally a fan of the black vinyl, but alas, aesthetics are in the eye of beholder.
Capacity
Capacity is one of the main reasons I prefer commercial kegerators. Many of the sub 700 dollar kegerators can’t even fit all full-sized kegs, let alone three corny kegs or sixth barrels.

Dimensions
Weight is one of the best indicators of kegerator build quality. The KegMaster KM15CT1 comes in at a whopping 150 pounds. This is also an expecially tall unit with a high of 52 inches when measuring from the floor to the top of the tower. The 40 inch height without the tower is a full seven inches taller than many units.

Additional Features
My favorite feature in high-end kegerators is the air cooled tower. By forcing cool air into the tower, the beer in the tower stays fresh longer. Without this feature, you will need to throw out the first beer or two after the keg has been sitting for a couple hours. If you are a DIY type, you can add this feature to cheaper kegerators using a computer fan as the main component of the mod. Two inch foam insulation is included in the kegerator walls to increase efficiency and allow this model to reach the lower 30s with less energy consumption than comparable units. Durable rubber casters increase mobility.
What’s Missing?
Commercial kegerators often ship without the C02 tank, coupler, and regulator. This UBC KegMaster is not an exception. Depending on the quality of the parts you buy, plan to spend another $100 to $250 to make this kegerator ready to use.
Comparable Kegerators
The kegerator most similar to the KegMaster KM15CT1 is the TRUE TDD-1. The model from TRUE weighs 30 pounds more (150 lbs versus 180 lbs). TRUE also provides a 3 year warranty on parts and labor compared to a 1 year warranty for the KegMaster. Dimensions are almost identical. I’d give the edge to TRUE in terms of brand trustworthiness, but the base price it costs about $175 more than the KM15CT1.
