Danby is one of my favorite kegerator manufacturers. Their models can be purchased for a low cost with high-end features. These features include a stainless steel finishes, large capacities, and automatic defrost. Danby also provides a one year warranty for their models. Brands, like EdgeStar, only offer a 90 day warranty on labor. If you have to ask yourself what qualifies as labor, you probably don’t want a 90 day warranty on it.

DKC5811BSL – features a larger 5.8 cubic foot capacity. Capacity makes this my favorite Danby kegerator. As with most Danby units, it features automatic defrost and a stainless steel appearance. Anyone who has had to push a refrigerator without automatic defrost out to the driveway or garage every few months will recognize the value of this feature. A reversible door makes the DKC5811BSL a great kegerator for left-handed beer drinkers. This kegerator is meant for indoor use only, but it does come with four castors for easy movement. A scratch resistant top allows owners to put sit down their pints without fear of hurting the unit.

The fact that Home Depot consistently sells the DKC5811BSL at a dirt cheap price is a large part of what makes it the best kegerator deal.
Danby DKC052BSLDB – this is a smaller 5.2 cubic foot capacity kegerator. Unfortunately, 5.2 cubic feet is not enough to store over-sized kegs from brands like Miller and Coors. If your preferred brand of beer doesn’t use an over-sized keg, this shouldn’t be a problem. Much like the DKCC5811BSL, a scratch resistant stainless steel surface is included. One of the flimsy wire frame guards is included to help prevent pint glasses from crashing to the ground. A full one year warranty is included.

This unit became popular when it was sold at big box stores (Home Depot and Costco). Some of the Costco reviews were mixed. 72% recommended this unit. The majority of the complaints had to do with receiving a damaged unit. This is the biggest problem with shipping a large appliance, like a kegerator.

This unit has only been available online lately. Great prices can still be had if you are willing to do a little searching.

Given that Kegerator.com is the only store still caring the model, there is a good chance that Danby has stopped making it, and they are clearing out old stock. These situations often lead to great deals.
Danby DKC645BL-2 – this is the only dual faucet kegerator currently offered by Danby. If you own a kegerator, you might as well go big and have a dual faucet model. Oddly, this unit comes with the black plastic finish as opposed to the nicer stainless appearance. This kegerator as the same 5.8 cubic foot capacity as the first DKC5811BSL unit we mentioned.
