Owning a kegerator is the crowning achievement in many a man’s life. Unfortunately, due to a number of factors (space, cost, wife’s veto), many men can never experience this level of happiness. This is where a beer of the month club can come into play.
Here is a list of some respected craft beer of the month clubs:
- The Craft Beer Club – Shipping is included in the price. Plans allow for shipments every month, every other month or quarterly. The price is $37.75 for twelve beers a month in four different styles. 24 beers per month in four different styles costs a little over $71 per month.
- Amazing Clubs – Shipping is included in the price. They offer 3 month ($108), 6 month ($210), and 12 month plan ($407). There is also a seasonal plan that ships every three months ($144). With the first three plans, customers have the option to ship each month or every other month.
- Beer of the Month Club – They list shipping prices separately from the product prices. To increase cohesiveness, I’ll list their combined product + shipping price. Beer of the Month Club offers plans with twelve 12 ounce beers per month from $39 to $49. There are also a variety of 750ml options ranging from 2 to 6 bottles with a price range from $47 to $89.
- Clubs of America – Customers can select options between 1-12 months with shipping intervals of every month, every other month, or every third month. The price starts at $39 for one month with shipping included. Customers can save $25 if they purchase twelve months at a time.
All of these companies are within a few dollars of each other in price. Variety will be a much larger component to most consumers. Since the prices are relatively high, my advice would be to start with a one month plan. That said all four of these companies are well respected and have been in the beer of the month club business for years. You really can’t go wrong.
