Newegg via the merchant Factory Authorized Outlet has a KeggerMeister KM2800BK on sale for $349 shipped.
The KeggerMeister KM2800BK is a low end model. It comes with a 2.5 pound C02 tank instead of the more common 5 pound size. This difference will cost you money over time if you use the kegerator much since there isn’t much difference in cost between filling a 2.5 pound and 5 pound tank.
This unit uses the smaller size fridge that can’t fit some 1/2 barrel Coors, Miller, and Yuengling kegs. Complaints about the quality of the regulator are common. Several owners claim their refrigerator can’t get cold enough. This last problem is the only one I view as major since you usually won’t be able to make a refrigerator cool better inexpensively. There is a slight chance that adding a fan inside the refrigerator might help. Otherwise, you are shit out of luck.
Factory Authorized Outlet is charging $420 for this same model on Amazon. This leads me to believe that the Newegg price is a limited time test. The merchant is likely dipping their toes in the water to see if volume will make up for the lost margin at this lower price point.
My hunch is that after Newegg’s cut, Factory Authorized Outlet is making less than 10% profit on this Keggermeister unit. That might even be generous. From that perspective, this is a great deal, although I personally would spend a little more on a kegerator with higher quality components.
